In the academic year 2014-15, the Faculty of Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton ran a Group Design Project (GDP) as part of the UoS3 project. The Faculty of Engineering and the Environment ran another GDP, on the final assembly, integration and testing of the UoS3 spacecraft. The following students were involved with this GDP, and with securing the flight opportunity from ESA:
